TRACKING: Showers, storms, wind, falling temperatures

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Southerly winds will stay breezy tonight and gust to 30 mph at times through Thursday.. and possibly longer. We will only drop into the 50s tonight as some showers track into the KWWL viewing area.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will track through the region through Thursday.

A strong cold front will track through Thursday night and Friday morning bringing much colder air into the state. It will also bring some snow mixing into the rain.

Snow accumulation is not expected here, however, there are several winter watches, warnings, and advisories to our northwest… including Fargo, where UNI will play on Saturday.

Back in our viewing area, rainfall could add up to an inch or more depending on how many showers and thunderstorms you see.

Temperatures will likely start falling Thursday night and keep falling throughout Friday. It will be cold and windy through Saturday.

Overnight lows could drop to the freezing mark Saturday morning and again Sunday morning.  Winds will remain strong, so frost is not expected, however, the temps will still be around the freezing mark. Most plants will not be happy about it. Neither will many humans!

River levels are not expected to rise much with the expected rainfall. You can track river levels by clicking here.

Stay with KWWL and KWWL.com for updates.
