It’s going to be another fantastic, late August day across eastern Iowa. We will have lots of sunshine, with just a few fair weather clouds developing this afternoon. High temperatures will be very similar to yesterday — upper 70s to near 80°.
The humidity level will be comfortable, with dew point temperatures in the middle 50s to near 60°.
Lower dew points means lower temperatures at night. With a mainly clear sky tonight, temperatures will fall into the 50s once again.
This weekend is shaping up to be pretty decent if you have any outdoor plans. It will be sunny to partly cloudy both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the middle to upper 70s.
Next chance of rain and thunderstorms tracks in Sunday night into Monday. The near to slightly below average temperatures will continue throughout the next couple weeks, as it looks now.
