TRACKING: Dangerous heat and humidity

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Tonight is going to be a warm one. Lows in the mid to upper 70s. There is a small chance of a storm across northern Iowa…mainly north of Oelwein…otherwise mostly clear. Some of the storms could be strong to severe. Most are likely to remain north of the IA/MN stateline.

The EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING remains in effect for the area through Saturday. Showers and storms are forecast for late Saturday afternoon through the night and into early Sunday. Locally heavy rain is possible and with the stronger storms wind could be an issue.

Sunday will not be hot but it still will be humid, especially in the morning. The humidity level will improve through the day.

The temperatures will be cooler Sunday through early next week with temperatures in the low 80s.
