Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible as a storm system tracks through the area. Northern Iowa has the best chance of rain this morning. The better coverage of showers and storms will be this afternoon, otherwise, expect a partly sunny to mostly cloudy sky. Highs will be in the lower to middle 70s and it will be a bit humid.
The severe weather threat is low, but a few of the stronger storms could provide the risk of small hail and gusty winds.
Any shower or thunderstorm activity comes to an end early this evening, and we will be left with a mostly clear sky throughout the overnight. Temperatures fall to near 60°.
Tuesday will be spent with a mostly sunny sky. There is a weak front that will provide a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms in the southern part of the KWWL viewing area. The better chance of storms will be closer to the Iowa/Missouri stateline. There is a slight risk of severe weather in this area.
A ridge sets up by mid to late week which will bring in warmer and more humid conditions. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s with dew point temperatures in the 60s and 70s so it will feel a bit muggy.
There is a chance of rain and storms Thursday into Friday.
