TRACKING: More storms with heavy rain, wind, hail

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

This morning’s rainfall left behind areas of over 2″ of rain in a short period of time. The ground is wet. Very wet. It won’t take much more rain to cause flash flooding. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for much of the KWWL viewing area through early Saturday morning.

As a warm front tracks into the area, thunderstorms will pop up this afternoon and through the overnight.

Afternoon and evening storms may become severe with damaging wind and large hail the main concerns, although an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Rainfall totals for the next day will be another half inch to two inches of rain.

We keep several chances of showers and storms in the forecast through the holiday weekend, but the middle of Saturday may end up relatively dry before storms fire up again in the afternoon.

The next five days could be very wet.

Stay up to date on the latest forecast as each round of storms could change where and when the next round tracks through the area.

River levels are expected to rise. Find the latest river levels by clicking here.
