Rain and storms are widespread across the western part of the state this evening. Locally heavy rain with 30-40 mph wind gusts are expected with those storms as they move into eastern Iowa overnight.
The showers/storms end Friday morning. Partly to mostly cloudy sky is expected much of the day as the wind increases from the south. Not only will it be breezy but it will be more humid.
There is a chance of storms Friday late in the afternoon and evening with the potential for the storms to be severe with hail, damaging wind and flooding rain.
The storm chance continues into the night and tapers off Saturday morning. Most of Saturday and Sunday will be dry with temperatures in the 70s. The chance of showers/storms continues to increase for Monday. More severe weather is possible across Iowa. More details on this to come.
