TRACKING: Rain, gusty winds and chilly temperatures

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Clouds have slowly been increasing this afternoon keeping temperatures cooler than normal. Temperatures this afternoon are in the 50s. Normal lows this time of year are in the low 50s.

Temperatures cool into the 40s tonight as clouds thicken this evening and rain slowly moves northeast. The wind is light this evening then increases overnight from the east.

The wind is going to be strong Tuesday afternoon with gusts from the east around 45 mph. Temperatures don’t warm very much Tuesday from the morning lows due to the east wind and rain likely.

Rain is likely on and off through the day. Late in the afternoon and evening a few t-storms are possible. No severe weather is expected at this time. Rain and isolated storms continue into the night then taper off by sunrise Wednesday. Rain amounts will be around 1.00 to 1.50” in many locations. A few spots could be near 2”.

Wednesday and Thursday temperatures return to near normal in the 70s. Both of these days are dry. A few showers/storms are possible Thursday night into Friday.

Temperatures remain in the 70s through the holiday weekend but there will also be a chance of showers/storms each day. We will take these one day at a time to get a better handle on timing.
