TRACKING: Active weather after Wednesday

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

The sky will be partly cloudy and quiet tonight.

The wind is light tonight through Wednesday night. Sunshine, a light breeze and temperatures in the 70s will make for a very nice Wednesday.

There is a slight chance for a shower or storm Thursday. This is a warm day with highs reaching the low 80s.

The Friday through Sunday time frame is what might turn out to be pretty wet for some locations. The front is still forecast to be located across Iowa Friday through Sunday and the focus for showers/storms each day. It is not possible to say where and when the storms will be for the weekend this far out. This situation you might have to wait until about 24 hours out.

The humidity level will be higher during this time and as a result any storm can drop locally heavy rain. Rain amounts of 2-4” are possible across a large of Iowa and surrounding states. This doesn’t mean everyone one will get 4” or rain but the potential is there for some locations to get this much through the middle of next week.
