The next several days will have a common theme: cold temperatures. We will have a lot of cloud cover today, with highs only making it into the middle 30s. Luckily, it won’t be as blustery, with a NNW wind 5-10 mph.
Tonight, snow chances increase across eastern Iowa. The snow moves in from southwest to northeast after 7 PM, and continues overnight into early Friday morning. Flurries and a few snow showers are possible throughout the day Friday. A quick burst of snow could reduce visibility and slicken things up again Friday afternoon. Total accumulations will be 1″ or less, with locally higher amounts up to 2″ possible, especially south of Highway 20.
Friday night into Saturday morning will be COLD. Lows will be in the teens, with wind chills in the single digits. It will be a cold weekend with highs in the 30s to near 40.
