The October chill will be with us for the next several days.  Today will be mostly cloudy across eastern Iowa, with a chance for a few rain showers across southern portions of the area.  A few snowflakes could mix in during the morning hours, however it will not be enough to cause accumulation.  Any precipitation that falls will be light.  High temperatures remain chilly in the 40s, with a west wind 5-10 mph.

Patchy frost is once again possible tonight, as lows drop to the lower and middle 30s.  It will be partly cloudy.  Saturday will be slightly warmer with a south/southwest wind 10-20 mph boosting temperatures into the 50s.  It will be partly to mostly cloudy.

A weak cold front tracks in Saturday night, bringing a slight chance for light rain.  Temperatures will be cooler on Sunday, with another disturbance bringing a chance of rain to southern Iowa.

The overall pattern over the next week looks dry.
