Very Wet September for Some

The map map below shows how much rain has fallen this month through the 14th.

Notice the very heavy rain in parts of northeast Iowa, southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Some of those rain amounts are 200-400% percent above of normal. While at the same time, parts of southern Illinois and southern Missouri have been very dry.

The wettest September on record in Dubuque was in 1965 with 15.46″ of rain. The 8.34″ of rain so this month does not put it in the top 10 wettest yet. Here is the list of the top 10 wettest Septembers in Dubuque.
