Two tornadoes confirmed in eastern Iowa

The National Weather Service in Davenport sent a group of meteorologists to Washington, Johnson and Cedar counties to survey damage.

The team confirmed an EF-1 tornado near Kalona and Frytown. The tornado was on the ground for ~27 minutes, causing damage to rooftops, destroying out buildings, and taking down trees. Estimated winds were 110 mph.

A brief, EF-0 tornado touched down near West Branch in Cedar County, causing tree damage.
