Warm Easter Sunday

Did you enjoy your Easter Sunday? It was definitely a great one to do anything outdoors. We had plenty of sunshine, and a gusty south wind. The wind helped boost temperatures into the lower and middle 80s!

It was the second warmest on record for Waterloo, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. Keep in mind, Easter is not on the same day each year.

Waterloo’s top 5 warmest:

04/12/1925 87
04/21/2019 86
04/19/1987 84
04/21/1946 83
04/10/1977 82

It’s a four-way tie for #2 in Dubuque:

04/21/1946 82
04/12/1925 81
04/13/1941 81
04/10/1977 81
04/21/2019 81

Cedar Rapids’ 84° was good for tie at #2 warmest as well.

04/12/1925 87
04/21/1946 84
04/21/2019 84
04/10/1977 83

Iowa City’s records were a little harder to pin down, but from what we found it was also the second warmest Easter on record.
