It’s no secret, it’s been cold lately. March has certainly not been very March-like, weatherwise. It can get very cold, and very warm during the month in eastern Iowa.
Waterloo, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City set the all-time warmest March temperature on March 29, 1986. Dubuque’s record was set 91 years prior in 1895.
As for the coldest temperatures, those all happened on March 1, 1962.
