Denice Pelster
KWWL Storm Track 7 Meteorologist

I grew up on my family farm near Raeville, Nebraska. I was terrified of storms as a young child, but knew how important the weather is to agriculture. In eighth grade, I decided to pursue a career in weather. I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and earned a degree in Meteorology.

Immediately after graduation, I started at KLKN in Lincoln, Nebraska where I had interned previously. I was the AM/Midday meteorologist there until I married my college sweetheart in 2010. After marrying Mark, Iowa became my home.

I have become familiar with Iowa’s weather patterns and constantly changing weather. I am excited to be back in the weather business.
