UNI gets verbal commitment from Minnesota high school star

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa(KWWL)–Ben Jacobson and the Northern Iowa men’s basketball program have had great success recruiting the state of Minnesota.

And Jake and Panthers have received another verbal commitment from the Gopher state.

Nate Heise a point guard from Lincoln high school in Lake City, Minnesota just finished his junior season.

Heise is a 6-4 combo guard….he led his team in scoring averaged 22 points a game—while shooting a blistering 57 percent from the field and 86 percent from the free throw line. Heise also averaged 7 rebounds, five assists and 2.5 steals a game.

Heise chooses UNI over North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Davidson, Drake and North Dakota

Heise is the second recruit for Northern Iowa’s class of 20-20.
