Waverly-Shell Rock survives in five sets to reach state

WAVERLY (KWWL) — Fourth ranked Waverly-Shell Rock had to go the distance to get it done on Monday night. The Go-Hawks survived a scare against No. 9 Dallas-Center Grimes to advance to the class 4A state volleyball tournament in five sets.

W-SR won by set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 17-25, 21-25, 16-14.

The Go-Hawks secured the No. 4 seed at state and will open against fifth seeded West Delaware on November 12.
