GRUNDY CENTER (KWWL) — Dike-New Hartford swept Union during the regular season. That didn’t happen on Monday night as the 13th ranked Knights shocked the No. 3 Wolverines, winning in a dramatic five-set marathon to punch their ticket to the class 3A state tournament.

The win snapped DNH’s streak of 12 straight appearances at state.

Union won 25-22, 20-25, 25-15, 21-25, 15-11, to collect their first trip to the U.S. Cellular Center since 2016. Jasmyn Bush led the effort with 19 kills. Jenna Joslin had 14 for the Wolverines.

The Knights received a tough opening draw at the state tournament as they start off against top-ranked Davenport Assumption on November 13.
