Black Hawks top Tri-City 1-0 to remain perfect

WATERLOO (KWWL) — One goal was all it took. Connor Caponi scored early in the second period as the Waterloo Black Hawks moved to 5-0 on the season with a 1-0 win over Tri-City.

The Black Hawks defense shined all night as the Waterloo defenders killed off seven Tri-City power plays. In goal Logan Stein took care of all 26 shots sent his way.

Waterloo will look for a sixth straight win when they host Des Moines next Saturday.
