INDEPENDENCE (KWWL) — New Hampton/Turkey Valley went toe to toe on Saturday, but the Chickasaws reigned as district champions when the dust settled. NHTV edged the Knights by five points in the team race.
Union, however, will send more athletes to the state meet next week. The Knights qualified seven wrestlers, two of those coming as district champions. The Chickasaws qualified five with four champs.
