Cedar Falls tops Iowa City West 59-56 in state finals re-match

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) — Cedar Falls had the Trojans number once again. The number seven Tigers got a late three-pointer from Logan Wolf to seal the deal 59-56 over fourth ranked Iowa City West.

The Tigers finished strong after trailing by three at the end of the fourth quarter. A putback by Jack Campbell gave Cedar Falls a 54-53 lead with just under two minutes remaining. Campbell led the Tigers with a 25 point effort.

West regained the lead on a pair of free throws 30 seconds later, but Wolf’s three moments later gave the Tigers the lead for good.

Patrick McCaffery led Iowa City West with 26 points.
