Iowa’s Amani Hooker leaving for the NFL

Iowa junior defensive back Amani Hooker is headed for the National Football League. Hooker made the announcement on social media on Saturday afternoon.

He joins tight end Noah Fant as Hawkeyes who have made the decision to leave school early to turn pro. Iowa’s T.J. Hockenson and Anthony Nelson are also considering the jump.

Amani Hooker tied for the Iowa lead in interceptions this season with four. He finished second in tackles with 65.
