Waterloo West girls roll past rival East

WATERLOO (KWWL) — Waterloo West opened the first half of a boys-girls double header with a dominant 57-23 win over cross-town rival Waterloo East.

The Wahawks dominated from the get-go, shutting out the Trojans 16-0 after one quarter. West (3-0) opened the game on a 23-0 run.

Freshman Brooklyn Smith scored 17 to lead the scoring for the Wahawks. Na’Tracia Caesar and Jada Draine chipped in 11 points each.

Amanee Clark led East (1-2) with a 13 point night.
