Waterloo East boys pull past rival West 89-72

WATERLOO (KWWL) — Waterloo East pulled away in the second half to knock off cross-town rival Waterloo West 89-72 on Tuesday night.

The Trojans shot a blistering 81 percent from the field in the second half after leading 39-35 at halftime.

Tyrese Nickelson led East (3-0) with a 27 point effort on 11 of 17 shooting. Ramon Harrington added 19 in the win.

Isaiah Johnson scored 19 to lead the Wahawks.
