Media day in Ames…Where Iowa state head coach Matt Campbell and the Cyclones are preparing for the 20-19 season.

In Campbell’s fourth season ——Iowa State is expected to contend for a Big 12 title.

The Cyclones enter the season with loads of talent and experience on both sides of the football.

On offense quarterback Brock Purdy returns from a highly productive true freshman season in which he led Iowa State to the Alamo Bowl.

Coach Campbell talks about being careful not to put too much on Purdy.

“In reality all I would like to do is see Brock grow from a freshman to a SOPHOMORE. We all see what he can do when he is PLAYING at his best regardless of who is in the backfield or who is at receiver I think that is one good thing about Brock he can spread the ball around with great consistency I think he can also pull the ball down and run with it so I think as long as Brock continues to grow and play to his strengths Brock will have a great season.”
