LINCOLN, Neb. (KWWL) — The Iowa wrestlers rallied late to take down Nebraska 20-13 in a heated rivalry Sunday afternoon.

Emotions ran high and spilled over early when the Huskers’ Tyler Berger took down Kaleb Young for a sudden victory win at 157 pounds. Berger proceeded to blow a kiss to the Iowa bench which seemed to light a fire under the Hawks.

That showed at 184 pounds where Cash Wilcke secured a 5-2 upset win over third ranked Taylor Venz. Iowa then secured a victory in the final match at 133 pounds when Austin DeSanto picked up a tech fall over Brian Peska. DeSanto, however, gave a thumbs up to the crowd before completing the finishing move and then had some choice words for the Nebraska bench after securing the win.

The victory moved the Hawkeyes to 11-0 in dual matches this season.
