CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) — The Iowa State Patrol and Cedar Falls Police are responding to an accident near Hudson Road.

The driver appears to have been traveling south-bound on Hudson before running off the road and into backyards.

This all happened around 4 pm when the vehicle ran off of the road, hitting a fence and entering the backyard of a house on Andover Court, near the UNI water tower.

A KWWL News 7 crew on scene reports that the driver went through six yards before hitting a tree and rolling over.

At this time there are no serious injuries reported and the driver has been taken to the hospital. Thankfully, no one was hit by the car, and the driver only has minor injuries. We are still working to learn what caused this to happen.

This is a developing story, stay with KWWL as we continue to gather more information.
