Cedar Falls collecting flood damaged items

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The city of Cedar Falls is doing a collection of property damaged by the recent floods.

Curbside collection will take place and disposal fees will be waived at the transfer station for impacted residents.

City officials said several properties north of Lone Tree road were affected.

They ask residents to put damaged items by the curb for collection and ask that appliances, liquids, metal objects and furniture be separated from demolition materials. They also ask that to use separate containers for sheet rock and small debris if possible.

Those with questions should call the Municipal and Programs Department at 319-273-8929.
