MARION, Iowa (KWWL) — The Marion School District in partnership with the Center Point-Urbana Community School District is holding a ‘beat cancer’ football game tonight.
Both schools have been raising money this week with a coin drive for the University of Iowa’s Dance Marathon. There were also T-Shirts for sale to help raise the money.
The shirt design reads “Rivals on the field, together in the fight to find a cure.”
During half time each district will present which school was able to raise the most money. The winning school’s superintendent will be presented a traveling trophy at the beginning of the Varsity game.
The game is happening tonight at 7 pm at the Marion football field near Thomas Park Field.
