Robbery suspect starts fire in Oelwein convenience store

OELWEIN, Iowa. (KWWL) – Oelwein Police were called to a robbery in progress at the Cenex convenience store.

When crews arrived on scene, they found the suspect inside the building. Police say the suspect started a fire inside the store.

The suspect resisted officers but was later arrested.

Dion Lee Moore II, 36, of Hazelton is charged with 2nd Degree Robbery, 1st Degree Arson and Interference with Official Acts by Resisting Arrest.

Police say the store has minor damage from the fire.
