Hy-Vee voluntarily recalling Asian entrees due to undeclared allergen

WEST DES MOINES (KWWL) — Hy-Vee, Inc. is voluntarily recalling seven of its’ Hy-Vee Mealtime Asian Entrees after finding some ingredients weren’t listed on labels.

The voluntary recall includes seven dishes in 16-ounce or 20-ounce plastic containers. A list of affected items can be seen below.

The products were distributed across Hy-Vee’s eight-state region. That includes: Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The items have best if used by dates of Sept. 14, 2019, or Sept. 15, 2019. Check the top of the plastic lids to see if your items were recalled.

In a press release Hy-Vee Inc. says, “it is important to note that all other Asian items of the same variety but with different Lot Codes are NOT impacted by this voluntary recall.”

There have been no reported illnesses linked to the recall.

Customers who have bought the above products are entitled to a refund. You can receive that refund by taking the items back into your local Hy-Vee.
