No one injured in Linn Co. Helicopter Crash

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) – Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of a helicopter that crashed in a cornfield on Tuesday.

The helicopter went down around one mile east of Highway 13.

Cole Norton, of Marion, was the pilot of the aircraft. He and his passenger, Martin Brown of Wichita, were uninjured in the crash.

Linn County Sheriff’s deputies say the pilot was flying over the area where an airplane was forced to make an emergency landing on August 10th. They also say the chopper experienced problems, but did not elaborate further.

An investigation by the FAA and Linn County Sheriff’s Office is ongoing.
