Driver, passenger injured in motorcycle accident

LINN COUNTY, Iowa. (KWWL) – Linn County Sheriff’s Office says two people were injured after crashing a motorcycle.

It happened around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Crews responded to a report of a motorcycle riding in the rain and going off the road on 16th Ave. SW and 80th St.

The driver of the motorcycle, Randy Hartgrave, 60, and his passenger Melissa Nichols, 46, were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Both Hartgrave and Nichols weren’t wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
