Student charged with Threats of Terrorism in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) — One juvenile has been charged with Carrying Weapons after an incident at South East Jr. High earlier today.

Iowa City Police tell us they arrived on scene after a report of knives found in a student’s possession. They say there was never a threat to staff or students.

They continue to investigate.


UPDATE: Additional charges have been filed after a student at South East Jr. High was allegedly found with knives.

The same juvenile is now charged with Going Armed with Intent and Threats of Terrorism.
