Iowa State picks up a 6 seed in the NCAA tournament

AMES (KWWL) – The Iowa State Cyclones are back in the NCAA tournament. Iowa State earned their seventh NCAA tournament bid in the past eight seasons.

The 23-11 Cyclones picked up a 6 seed and will open up against 11th seeded Ohio State in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The selection comes on the heels of a 78-66 win on Saturday that gave Iowa State their fourth Big 12 tournament championship in the past six years. The Cyclones are 5-0 all time in the Big 12 final.
