UPDATE: Missing Iowa City man found dead in Utah national park

(KWWL) — A man from Iowa City is missing in Utah after he went on a hiking trip.

University of Iowa police confirmed on Twitter that US Park Rangers of Canyonlands National Park in Utah are searching for missing person Jonathon Hogue of Iowa City.

The University of Iowa confirmed that 33-year-old Hogue is a graduate teaching assistant at the University.

UPDATE: The National Park Service Investigative Services Branch says the search for missing Iowa City man and University of Iowa graduate teaching assistant Jonathon Hogue has ended tragically.

The agency says authorities at Canyonlands National Park in Utah have found Hogue’s body.

Hogue was 33-years-old.
