Driver rescued from flooded roadway in Waterloo

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) — Waterloo Fire Rescue confirms one man was rescued from flood waters this morning along Ridgeway Avenue near Black Hawk Creek.

Battalion Chief Ben Petersen says the man drove into a flooded street and became stuck in the water.

Firefighters deployed their rapid deployment craft to pull the man out.

Petersen said the driver was taken to the hospital for exposure.
