Flood clean-up kits, sandbags available in North Cedar neighborhood of Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) – The Cedar Falls Police Department says help is available, as flooding is forecast for the North Cedar neighborhood of Cedar Falls over the next several days.

Officers say several streets in North Cedar have been closed on Thursday night, and some residents have reported water flooding into their basements.

Flood clean-up kits are available on the porch of Fire Station #2, 722 W. Lone Tree Road — while sandbag materials are also available at the Bluff Street Complex, along 16th and State Street.

The Public Works Department can answer questions at 319-273-8629.
