Cedar Falls offering sandbags to residents

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) — With rain and melting snow, area rivers will be on the rise and cause some concern for flooding.

The city of Cedar Falls has sand and bags available to residents free of charge at their Bluff Street Complex at 16th and State Streets.

The bags are located near the scrap metal bunkers on the east side of the facility and shovels will be available, but it is recommended to bring your own.

For questions, call the Cedar Falls Public Works Department at 319-273-8629.

Cedar Falls has a flood information page here.
