LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) – The Linn County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed human remains have been found during a criminal investigation at a Cedar Rapids home on the 4000 block of Soutter Avenue SE. A neighbor told KWWL that crews have been at the scene since 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
Linn County Sheriff’s and a medical examiner vehicle arrived Friday morning, going through trash bins and going in and out of the house.
Around 3 p.m. on Friday, an ambulance arrived. However, it did not leave with flights flashing.
According to Sheriff Gardner there is no other information that can be released at this time. However, he said there is no threat to the public.
