Iowa City to begin towing cars for snow removal

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL)– If you’re parked in downtown Iowa City tonight, you might want to check your spot.

The city will begin removing snow overnight into Sunday and vehicles parked in tow-away zones will be towed.

Towing will start at 2 a.m. and will impact Clinton Street, Dubuque Street, Linn Street, Iowa Avenue, Washington Street and College Street.

City officials said cars can be moved into downtown parking ramps or to on-street parking spaces outside of the listed area.
