BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) – The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office says three people were hurt when three cars collided in the area of Barclay Road and North Canfield Road on Wednesday.
Sheriff’s deputies say a car failed to stop for an SUV trying to turn west onto Barclay Road. They say SUV was rear-ended, and a third car was also then hit in the collision. Two women and a child in the cars that were hit were taken by ambulance to local hospitals, and authorities say their injuries are believed to be minor.
Sheriff’s deputies say the driver of the car allegedly that set off the collision has been cited for Failure to Stop in Assured Clear Distance. No identities were revealed in a release from the Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. It’s the second chain reaction crash in the county in as many days.
