CORALVILLE, Iowa (KWWL) — The death of Clinton Fire Department Lieutenant Eric Hosette is being felt across the state and right here in eastern Iowa.

As Hosette’s body was returned home from the State Medical Examiner’s office in Ankeny, the Coralville Fire Department paid their respects along Interstate 80.

In a Facebook post to the department’s page, they said they were able to share the moment with several Clinton firefighters who were in Iowa City at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Clinton firefighter Adam Cain was taken to UIHC after suffering severe burns in the accident. He remains in critical condition.

Lt. Hosette died while fighting a fire at the

ADM Clinton facility. A storage silo had caught fire Saturday morning and exploded while fire crews were on the scene.
