TAMPA, Fl (KWWL) — The Outback Bowl will be a special experience for more than 40 girls from eastern Iowa, as they get a change to perform during the pregame and halftime shows at Raymond James Stadium.

The Just for Kix dance team is made up of girls from West Union, Decorah, Osage and St. Ansgar.

These youngsters range in age from 8-18 and  they have been practicing and raising money for this big trip for more than a year.

And now that they are in Tampa, the girls say it is like a dream come true. The Just for Kix group will  be a part of a 400 member dance team and 2500 member band for the Outback performance.

The 2019 Outback Bowl kicks off tomorrow at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This will be the 6th Outback Bowl experience for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Today, Mississippi State and the Haws are at their final preparations for the New Year’s Day showdown.
