Beyond Pink TEAM receives donation from Cedar Falls Public Safety Department

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) – The Beyond Pink TEAM is getting a generous donation from the Cedar Falls Public Safety Department.   $2,809.39 to be exact.

To help the TEAM’s mission of raising money for breast cancer awareness, the department took part in the Pink Patch Project and sold pink versions of their uniform patches in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

According to the Cedar Falls Police Department:

“Officers and firefighters were able to purchase and wear the patches on their regular uniforms during the month of October, and sold the patches at community events for $10 each.  In addition to the pink patches, a police SUV was striped with pink and displayed the pink ribbons.  The SUV was used daily by Cedar Falls officers while on patrol.”

The Cedar Falls Public Safety Department says they plan to make the pink uniform patches an annual effort to continuously show their support for the Beyond Pink TEAM.
