POCAHONTAS COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) -Two people are dead after a car accident in Pocahontas County on Friday, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
A release on the crash says 24-year-old Kyle Briggs was driving east on C15 just before 3:30 p.m. when officers say his Ford Taurus failed to stop ahead of the road’s intersection with Highway 4. That’s when his car was struck by a semi tractor-trailer that was traveling southbound on Highway 4.
According to family, 48-year-old Christine Price from Rolfe, was also killed in the collision. A 19-year-old Rolfe man was also life-flighted from the scene, while another 47-year-old Rolfe man was also hurt. The driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by Pocahontas and Laurens ambulance services.
