Dubuque Fighting Saints showcase game

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) – Four Fighting Saints athletes Matias Maccelli, Michael Feenstra, Dylan Jackson and Ty Jackson were chosen for the USHL/NHL Top Prospects game this morning. The event will begin on January 7th with the USHL’s top NHL Draft-eligible setting up and doing hockey drills. The showcase game is scheduled for January 8th at the Ice Box in Lincoln, NE.

Maccelli in the second season is tied 11th in the USHL with 23 points. He is first in that category for Dubuque and is number 1 in goals. Maccelli has a season high nine game point streak.

Feenstra, who is pledged to Michigan State in his second season has been a great defenseman. He has a goal and two assists in 17 games this season. Also, he is tied for 6th on the team with a plus/minus of plus-4.

The Jackson twins have done outstanding in their first season. Both Dylan and Ty have 16 points for the first 21 games. Ty is the scorer with 9 and Dylan has been coming in with the assists, 10 total.

The Saints general manager Kalle Larsson had this to say, “Ty, Dylan, Michael and Matias have all worked hard to earn this opportunity and we look forward to their participation in the Top Prospects game,”

Coaches, support staff, and officials for the game will be announced later on.
