Iowa to face Mississippi State in Outback Bowl

Iowa is headed back to Florida. The Outback Bowl used their selection on the Hawkeyes Sunday afternoon marking the third time in six seasons that Iowa will play in the bowl at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

They’ll face Mississippi State in the 11:00 am game on New Year’s Day.

The selection comes on the heels of an 8-4 season that saw Iowa finish tied for second in the Big Ten West division standings.
