Iowa hub for climate change discussions among 2020 candidates

2020 Candidates are making climate change a focus in their Midwest campaigns.

While it is a common talking point in coastal regions, candidates are emphasizing climate change’s importance in Midwest states.

Iowa state senator Rob Hogg has met with many of these candidates and is stressing that Iowa is not immune to the consequences of climate change. In 2008, Cedar Rapids experienced significant flooding causing 10,000 people to be evacuated. River communities may be in similar danger of flooding, according to candidate Pete Buttigieg.

Hear 2020 candidates discuss the impact of climate change on Iowa and what they will do to help.
