DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) — Tonight people can enjoy food, entertainment, and shopping as vendors from across the Dubuque area line Jackson St. in the Millwork District.

Last year the Millwork Night Market debuted its first season and founder, Andie Donnan says it was more successful than she imagined it would be.

“Last year was really successful. Ya know we kind of took a plunge and we didn’t know, but even in the earlier months in like October we still have a great attendance. I think it was August and September we had the most people down here the whole season which is really amazing it was around 5,000 people all night.”

Donnan says attendees can expect to find an array of different food, produce, and product vendors as well as some new unique vendors joining them this year. She says its a great alternative to a Saturday morning farmer’s market.

“It’s on Thursday, kind of in the middle of the week ya know, and great for people that don’t want to get up on Saturday morning so they can come out in the evening. It started with the idea of shopping and having a beer and listening to music and supporting each other and so all those things take place down at the night market.”

The night market starts its season tonight from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Jackson St. between 7th and 9th St.
